Meet the Partners
|
Partner: Frank S. Marano
is a Certified Public Accountant and a founding partner in the Melville CPA
firm of Marano & Distante Associates, a diverse practice, which includes
audit, review and compilation of financial statements, income taxation for Corporate and Individual clients, financial planning,
management consulting and general accounting services. Frank has a
Degree in Accounting from Long Island University, CW Post
Campus, in Brookville, New York. His broad-based businessman’s perspective, hands-on client service approach, and
strong technical background make him a highly effective business advisor and
problem solver for the closely held businesses he serves. His extensive experience includes providing audit, tax planning and compliance
consulting and fiduciary accounting services to a diverse client base. He was the Chief Financial Officer for a
Multinational company overseeing a budget of more than 250 Million Dollar
and a staff of 180 people and also worked, as a financial
controller, for Citicorp. Frank began his career and worked for several years at the accounting firm
of PriceWaterHouseCoopers.
He is a member of the American and New York State Institute of Certified Public
Accountants
Partner: Stephen A. Distante is a founding member of the
firm. His day-to-day activities are primarily spent developing systems and
strategies for the Financial Services Division as well as managing its’
financial services affiliates. A Certified Financial Planner and Personal Financial Planning Specialist,
Steve was responsible for establishing Vanderbilt Financial Group,
an affiliated group whose services encompass brokerage, retirement, insurance, education,
investment and asset allocation planning. Steve has successfully integrated Financial
Services and Income Tax Consulting throughout the Group’s regional
locations. A graduate of St. John University, Steve began his career in the “Big Eight” CPA firm of Deloitte
Haskins and Sells and later transitioned himself to become a financial
services executive.
